Description
Micatrone air flow sensor MFS is developed to meet the great demand for accurate air flow measurement in all types of air-handling and ventilation systems.
The MFS air flow sensor forms an average value of the velocity profile of the entire duct area.
Functions
The air flow sensor consists of a solid bracket, which is made of extruded, anodised aluminium in which two measuring pipes follow the whole length. The air flow measuring pipes in the air flow sensor are protected by the solid bracket to avoid damage.
The measuring pipes of each air flow sensor are holed in accordance with reliable standards. The holes face towards the centre of the bracket and an air gap surrounds the measuring pipes.
The advantage with the MFS air flow sensor design is that the holes of the measuring pipes are at a point where there is no velocity, this preventing particles from entering the pipes and the risc of clogging.
